Nitric Oxide Boosting Supplements

Nitric oxide supplements are a common method for many people to get the benefits of nitric oxide:

Hello, I am Chris Pickard, and I am going to be sharing with you today some amazing facts about nitric oxide and nitric oxide boosting supplements. Before I start though, make sure you subscribe to the channel, so you stay up to date with everything that I’m discovering in the world of health, fitness, and longevity. Now you’re going to want to stay to the end because I am going to tell you something very surprising about nitric oxide, and give you more about…well, exactly what you’re trying to achieve with nitric oxide. I’m going to tell you some ways and where to get it that are going to be even better.

So nitric oxide, what is it, first of all? Well, nitric oxide is a gas, and it’s used in your body for various reasons. It’s a signaling molecule. So it means it’s very important for the brain. So it’s great for memory, it’s great for protecting your brain.

It’s also a signaling molecule inside your immune system and your anti inflammatory system. So it’s very important that you have the right amounts for your immune system to work properly, and for you to bring down inflammation. One time you create a lot of inflammation is when you exercise. So it’s actually very useful for endurance.

And there’s one particular area, I’m pointing down here for men, that men are very interested in endurance in, or perhaps they’re having some problems down there and nitric oxide gets searched a lot for that reason. I know because I have a video that I did two years ago on a simple exercise that you can do that actually helps release nitric oxide from your blood vessels into the bloodstream so it can get to work. And it’s had about a quarter of a million views so far. So I thought I’d do a follow up to show people actually how to boost the nitric oxide as well as just release what you already have. So it’s great for physical endurance, supports the immune system, anti inflammatory and yeah, it also helps optimize the liver and kidney function as well. So very, very, very important.

So how do you go about boosting it? Well, if you go and look at all the supplements out there, there are some specific things that tend to be in there, and I’m going to tell you the exact amounts. Then I’m going to do something better. I’m just doing this for completeness. So l-arginine is usually the first thing that’s in a nitric oxide boosting supplement, and you need to really make sure there’s at least five grams because that’s what most of the studies have been done on.

However, a lot of arginine gets broken down, and so it’s better to have something called arginine alpha-ketoglutarate. So often there will be five grams of arginine, there’ll be a gram of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate, then there’ll be l-citrulline in there, because that’s critical for the process of turning arginine into nitric oxide, I’m not quite sure of the entire mechanism. And then some of them contain something called yohimbe bark as well, and also pomegranate extract, because this helps to protect and make the whole system work.

You only need a small amount, like six milligrams of yohimbe bark and maybe half a gram of pomegranate extract. So those are the things you’re looking for in a supplement. But here’s the thing… the only way that arginine is going to help you is if you actually have an arginine deficiency. So if you are already eating lots of meat and protein, you’re probably not arginine deficient, and these nitric oxide boosting supplements are a complete waste of money.

So where do you go? Well first of all, eat more protein, but there’s something better that I’m saving for the next video. But what I have found works really, really well is a super food called ganoderma lucidum. And I’ve got a number of videos about this before, because what ganoderma lucidum does, is it not only helps you make the right kind of nitric oxide, it actually helps decrease… Because when you have certain forms of inflammation, nitric oxide goes out of control and actually causes more problems.

But what ganoderma lucidum does, is it basically helps control and bring down inflammation. But it also helps you produce nitric oxide where it’s needed, so in the brain, in the areas that you want it. And it also has lots of other health effects as well. So it’s not just about boosting nitric oxide, it’s actually something that’s really good for the entire body.

It helps protect you from environmental pollutants, the whole lot. And it seems to be even better when you actually add it to hot drinks. And something we already know is that coffee can also help nitric oxide production. So when you put ganoderma in hot coffee, because again, ganoderma seems to work better when it’s heated. When you put it in coffee, it’s even better.

But if you’re a man and you’re looking for some late night action, okay? It’s even better in hot chocolate, and possibly even better to use ganoderma lucidum mycelium, which is the root. And we actually sell hot chocolate with about three grams of mycelium in it, and that has a good effect.

R4 – Reduce Inflammation

Are you burning up?

If you’re reading this then I’m 100% certain that this article is of prime importance to either you, or someone very close to you.

There is a large body of evidence that suggests inflammation is the root cause of cancer, diabetes, thyroid disorders, arthritis, Alzheimer’s and many other chronic diseases.

It can even be behind the inability to lose weight.

Before watching my training video inspired by Dr Pompa, and originally part of www.Mi365.me, here’s a personal story as told by a colleague of mine in the USA:

Inflammation of the cell membrane that affects the way the cell communicates, detoxes and will ultimately change gene expression, leading to a diseases of genetic weakness.

There are 3 main contributors that always need to be addressed in order to down-regulate inflammation.

  • Controlling glucose/insulin

Keeping tight control of your glucose intake is of paramount importance for any anti-inflammation program to be effective as it is a driving force that cannot be remedied by any supplementation or drug protocol. For example, diabetics do not die from diabetes, but from other degenerative conditions. Despite being on medication, 68% of all diabetics die from heart disease, and 50% of diabetics end up with dementia or Alzheimer’s as they age rapidly from the inside out.

This is directly due to the oxidation/inflammation from uncontrolled glucose and insulin.

By the way, grains, not sugar, are the #1 contributor to elevated glucose. Yes, even whole grains. Did you know that 2 pieces of whole grain toast or a bowl of oatmeal raises glucose the same as a can of Coke? This is why a Cellular Healing Diet eliminates ALL GRAINS from the diet UNTIL cellular inflammation is corrected.

  • Eliminate “bad fats”.

What are ‘bad fats’?  Well it may surprise you to know that the worse culprit is probably omega 6 fats from all the processed vegetable oils we’ve been told to consume!  All the sunflower and rape seed oils we buy in supermarkets to cook in, and that are added to all baked goods.

These oils are causing massive imbalance in the oily make up of our cell membranes and are a major cause of inflammation and artery damage.

You need no worry about eating sunflower seeds though – it’s just the processed oils.

Another inflammatory fat (no surprises) is that found in processed meats and beef from non-grass fed cows.

On the other hand, limited fats from grass fed cows are fine (and contain the beneficial omega 3 oils).

  • The Hidden and Unspoken Truth

Lastly, toxins, in my opinion, are the biggest driving factor of inflammation today. We have discussed this in every ‘R’ of cellular healing, so I will not get into it here but I will say this: if you do not remove the hidden sources of toxins within your body, the chronic inflammation will NEVER be resolved.

For example, personal care products you use every morning contain, on average, 518 chemicals that are known “hormone disruptors”.

There are also the pollutants and toxins in the air we breath (which kills between 20,000 and 240,000 people in the UK every year), the tap water we drink (a known cause of male infertility) and all the pesticides and herbicides on our fruit and veg.

R3 – Restore Cellular Energy

Do you wake up exploding with energy?

When it comes to low cellular energy, it can be causing more than just fatigue.

You may not even have fatigue, but instead:

Allergies/sensitivities

And /or inflammation (arthritis, aches, pains, bowel problems)

You rectify low cellular energy by
i) increasing the fuel available
ii) increasing the number of ‘power plants’ in your cell.

The power plants inside your cells are called mitochondria, and they make energy via  molecule known as ATP.

Sick people and people with chronic inflammation have far fewer mitochondria  than the average person and, therefore, far less cellular energy even for basic function. Once again this leads to many of their symptoms including sensitivities as well as why they do not respond to what would be effective treatments.

R1: Remove the Source

Summary:

The body has an innate ability to heal.

One of the most important things we need to do as therapists is remove the interference, remove the source of the problem/toxicity.

Toxins like mercury leach into the hypothalamus and pituitary.

Once we can impact the cell we can impact so much more going on in the body.

Making ATP (energy) creates waste – must be removed trough membrane like smoke through a chimney.

One main pathway – Glutathione.

Reduced Glutathione removes toxins and down-regulates inflammation.

500x stronger than vit C

Oxidized glutathione needs to be recycled which is ‘expensive’ metabolically

Inflammation is linked to a root cause of cancer, diabetes, thyroid disorders, arthritis, ALZHEIMER’S

And even the inability to lose weight

Its all because of cell membrane inflammation which then effects your DNA

The Four Horsemen of Your Health Apocalypse

I know.
It’s a dramatic title.
But it’s also alarmingly true.

Nearly all of today’s chronic illnesses are caused by a combination of these Four Horsemen. Ignore their insidious infestation into your life at your peril…

Back to the 4 Horsemen

1.Stress

No surprises here I’m sure. 75-90% of GP visits are related to stress, and stress contributes to everything from cancer to back pain.

2.Sedentary lifestyle

A lack of exercise is related to increased cancer, heart disease, depression, dementia, back pain etc.
Spinal motion all by itself is critically important. 90% of the brains stimulation comes from optimal spinal motion. The brain can turn on or off stress and regulates all of your body’s functions.

Related to the spine is poor posture .  Poor posture leads to an early grave.

3.Malnutrition

Most people associate malnutrition to mean a lack of calories and picture starving children in Africa. However far MORE people die from too many calories combined with a lack of micronutrients. This is what plagues the UK.  Proper nutrition, which means supplements as well as a good diet, is the most cost effective way to improve the health of the nation.

4.Toxins

This is the most ignored area, yet often the most critical in serious and ‘terminal’ cases. There are at least 700 man made toxins in every adult and child. Toxins cause ¼ of all deaths world wide. They contribute to 86% of chronic disease (cancer, heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s  etc), and account for rising cancer rates in children.

Are You Digging Your Grave With Your Teeth?

According to an article in the Guardian on 10/10/2017 ‘obesity threatens to bankrupt the NHS’.

Figures compiled by the World Obesity Federation reveal the current cost to the UK is £14.38 billion and will rise to £23.47 billion by 2025.

Currently, or should I say in 2014, 27.3% of the UK population where classified as obese. If current trends keep going, then we can expect 33.9% by 2025.

In my opinion there are a number of things to blame for this global trend:

  • The abdication of our health responsibility thanks to drugs and vaccines
  • The abdication of our eating habits thanks to world wide food business
  • The ‘luxury’ of modern living meaning we don’t have to move to get food

In the end though, none of the above really matter, as it’s YOU that choses what to eat, and how to exercise.

So what can be done?

Learning about health in general is a great start, and I’ve written and vlogged a great deal about this already.

As I know that many, many people need an easy answer, here’s 3 videos to help:
