Types of Neck Pain
The second most common complaint among patients, neck pain, can occur in the middle of the neck, either side and/or can extend to the shoulders and/or chest area. The most obvious symptom of issues within the neck area is obviously pain in that location, but it can also lead to other issues such as headaches, difficulty sleeping or it can even lead to pain in other areas of the body.
Neck pain can sometimes be traced back to a specific injury or it could be due to poor posture, anxiety or a whole host of other causes. That’s why it’s important to get checked out to try and find out what the cause is rather than just masking the pain.

Chronic Neck Pain – How Gill Got off Morphine!
Gil was in huge amount of pain, going from her neck down to her wrist. A damaged disc in her neck was the reason for this painful feeling.
To cope with pain, Gil had to take a cocktail of different pain killers including some that were used in post-operative cases. For a some time, she was also on Morphine. That medication had some effect on her short-term memory and got her family worried.
With no sight of things getting better, she started a chiropractic treatment at our clinic that allowed her to stop taking pain killers and be pain free again!!
