The Happiness Diet is a book I discovered via my Heroic Coach training (links below).
This is a guide to reclaiming mental clarity, emotional steadiness, and a sense of vitality that so many have forgotten is even possible
In The Happiness Diet, Tyler G. Graham and Dr. Drew Ramsey invite us to consider the profound link between what we eat and how we feel.
This is something I have shared before, and there are now a number of books that go far more deeply into this link to mental health, and the need for all of us to embrace this and teach it to our children.
Tyler G. Graham, a health journalist with years of experience in translating complex science into everyday wisdom, and Dr. Ramsey, is a Columbia University psychiatrist who has spent his career exploring how food shapes mood, cognition, and resilience. Together, they illuminate the biological pathways—hormonal, neurological, inflammatory—that connect our plates to our psychology. They show, with both rigor and warmth, that the modern industrial diet doesn’t just affect our waistlines; it subtly erodes our motivation, focus, and joy.
Rather than prescribing another restrictive regimen, the authors give us a “nutritional prescription” for a sharper brain, a steadier mood, and a body that hums with lasting energy. Their message is simple but transformative: when we nourish ourselves properly, happiness stops feeling like something to chase — and starts becoming something we generate.
This is more than a diet. It’s a reminder that feeling good is not a luxury; it’s a biological possibility.
