“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” Jiddu Krishnamurti
Normal blood tests that GP’s run are about the most important, and scientifically valid tests that can be done.
Unfortunately the ranges doctors look at, while OK for spotting terrible pathology, are NOT scientifically valid for spotting optimal health, so actually miss a great deal of early disease.
In order to properly read a blood test a practitioner must first know WHAT the optimal, healthy ranges really are.
Second, the practitioner must have a good grasp of the underlying physiology related to the blood chemistry markers.
Third, the practitioner must have an understanding of what the patient can then do to correct the problem before it becomes pathological.
And most importantly, the practitioner must have an understandling of what is going on with the patient – ideally their symptoms, diet, exercise habits, stress levels etc.
These four factors combined then give the patient, you, the optimal action plan to regain, or keep, your health.
Now I have some even better news for you.
If you’ve been to the doctor, and you’ve had a blood test, and been told its ‘normal’ but you don’t feel quite right; or maybe you do feel fine but are curious; I’ve put together a couple of DIY blood test analysis videos.
So go dig out your latest results, and follow along through these videos:
Part 1 – Red Blood Cells and Haemoglobin
Part 2 – White Blood Cells
Part 3: Lipids and Cholesterol
I hope you’ll teach yourself to spot some early warning signs and take action.
If you think you may have a problem, or are not sure, then reach out for help.
If you are on a current treatment plan then there may be no additional fee.
