Luke Donnelly: Potters Bar Massage Therapist
Luke Donnelly has lived in Brookmans Park, just north of Potters Bar, for most of his life and is an ex-pupil of Chancellors School.
Luke is a past elite athlete having represented England and Hertfordshire in Badminton and Martial Arts is very aware of how frustrating it can be after an injury without access to great rehabilitators; one of the factors in his decision to qualify as a Soft Tissue Massage Therapist upon retiring from elite competitive sport in 2012.
He graduated from the prestigious NLSSM: The School of Sports Massage in North London with a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Sports Massage & Remedial Therapy. He is a full member of The SMA: The association for Soft Tissue Therapists. He has been involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of soft tissue issues for the past 2 years.
The professional massage therapy diploma provides him with the skills to address many musculoskeletal soft tissue problems and help his clients return to full pain free function quickly. Luke has worked with a great range of clients in assisting with preventive treatment and injury recovery for both elite athletes and the general public to relieve many of the day to day problems such as; repetitive strain injury, sprains, tension, fatigue, which everyone experiences.
Luke has received countless hours of tuition from the experienced Nick Mooney (Clinical Lead for Sports Massage at the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games) and is currently facilitating Nick’s recovery from a serious Comminuted Distal fracture.
Luke maintains a proactive involvement in physical and gym-based work. He also trains regularly in Muay Thai Kick Boxing.
