Applied Kinesiology (AK)

Developed by chiropractor Dr George Goodheart, it is now used by chiropractors, osteopaths, dentists, nutritionists, psychologists and many other professions.

This is because AK is not really a treatment technique, it is a diagnostic tool. AK practitioners use muscle testing to determine exactly what is going on in the body (and sometimes the mind) of the patient. It can be used to determine everything from what part of the spine to adjust, and what technique to use, to what dose of nutrients may be required. Like all diagnostic tests it has its limitations and should be used alongside other tests.
